This week were going to start with a verse, Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Matthew 4:1 Jesus went countless times to be alone with His Father. He went to relax in the wilderness and talk to his Father. How often do you go out to the “wilderness” to be with your Father. So you have to wind down. The longest living creature that is smaller than a foot is the bat. Scientists believe that the reason is that they can make their heart go from 180 beats to 3 beats. So they can relax nearly instantly. If bats have a longer life because of the rest, and the Son of Man lived to His ultimate purpose of dying on the cross for our sins. Then how much time should we spend praying in the “wilderness” just unplug on a walk and talk to Him or at night before you sleep, take some time to be with Him.
Find your Garden of Gethsemane to be with the Lord so when the day comes you can be ready to face your trial or your purpose. God’s word says that” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Now pray that God will show you His will for each day that you will not be like Barak, whose purpose and fame were taken, because he was scared of his own purpose. So his purpose was taken by Jael, because he was scared to be the spiritual leader of his army (read Judges 4). Here is this week’s question, where is your secret place to talk with God, and do you use it? Another question do you pray for God’s will for your life and for each day?
