This week let’s start off with some verses,”Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar, or not?” But He perceived their craftiness, and said to them, “Show me a denarius. Whose likeness and inscription does it have?” They said, “Caesar’s.” He said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” Luke 20:22-25 In this passage Jesus says whose image is on the coin, the answer is Ceasars, but whose image is on you? God’s is, so give to God what is God’s. According to Genesis1:27 “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” From the day He created you, when you were just a mere cell He gave you His image, He gave you life. He created all of us for a distinct purpose and to know Him. He blessed us with His image, which is a big blessing. When people look at Christians they should be able to see God through us. That we can be a city on a hill. Satan is going to see your potential and is going to try to silence you, he’s had a long time to learn people’s demeanor and emotions. Satan knows what your desires are and he is going to try to twist your view of Jesus and of what He’s done for you. We need to be careful that he doesn’t twist our world view. That is why we need to be in the word so that we know what it says. So this week let’s be in the word so that when the devil tries to lie to us we can see through the lies that he mixes with truth that way we are not deceived.
